Journalist - Multimedia Internship (volunteer) Remote

 

Explore Art is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated journalist/multimedia person for burgeoning digital magazine platform that was launched addresses the decline and gaps in media coverage void by providing global arts/cultural content.

Our greatest benefit is our volunteers have opportunities to gain publishing experience, have work assignments published, or gain hands-on experience working with Explore Art publication process.

Explore Art's vision is presented through a collection of digital magazines (Explore Art Magazine and Exploring Culture Magazine) and curated immersive solo/group exhibitions.  

Journalist /Multimedia (volunteer) Remote

Through remote monitoring Explore Art volunteers will have the chance to be mentored and receive hands-on experience. Explore Art is an emerging digital media platform firm that can provide intimate hands-on-experience for journalism/multimedia volunteers with the practical experience focused on: Learn and assist in Preparing work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.  Remote monitoring through Zoom conferencing, telephone, and text messaging.

​Responsibilities to Learn and Assist :

• Learn to handle working remotely under supervision and monitoring

• Learn and assist with researching art/cultural stories online. Simple research is not enough, we must be confident that the source is reliable and the information accurate.

• Learn and assist with calls or messages to interview subjects in person or remotely for a news story

• Learn and assist with creating video or photograph content, or document live, firsthand accounts.​

• Learn and assist with creating and editing video and/or image packages

• Learn and assist with creating multimedia content and broadcasting it on various platforms.

• Learn and assist with platforms that may include blogs, social media, articles published in print and online, video and news packages, radio, and television shows.

• Learn and assist with gathering and presenting Accurate Information

• Learn and assist with ensuring the validity and credibility of their information and sources.

• Develop a Unique Angle

• Developing an in-depth understanding of the various media and platforms that can be utilized.

Requirements:

• Some undergraduate courses or comparable experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to thrive while working around tight deadlines

• Good organizational and multitasking skills

• Proficient storytelling

• Quality creative writing

• Ability to edit well
